No. Actually the majority of mordekaiser players are retards that build all tank items so they don't make him look OP. I usually end up carrying my games in kills and damage done, while playing the role of tank, while getting the most minion kills.

I've never seen anyone build morde the same way I do (doran's shield -> heart of gold -> sorc boots -> negatron cloak -> giant's belt -> abyssal scepter -> deathcap -> sunfire cape -> (depending on team: randuin's / will of the ancients / force of nature). You always seeing idiots building warmogs, or force of nature first.

People don't seem to understand that AP on morde makes him tankier - the more damage you deal the more shield you get. The more AOE damage you deal, the less ignorable you are (forcing people to focus you as the tank). You only need deathcap, abyssal scepter and blue elixir to reach 400AP, and at that point you deal about 200dmg/sec standing near anybody with W up and sunfire before mitigation (which, unless the enemy team buys MR you will have true damage on most carries with spell pen), the W generates a fuckload of shield as is. If you get will of the ancients, not only is your constant AOE generating massive amounts of shield, it's also healing yourself, and the abyssal scepter + WoTA boosts all casters around you. Then, triggering your ult instantly heals you for 1k+. The damage you deal with Q or E is no slouch either, especially since they're low cooldown. Q (single target) and E usually hits for about 500-600dmg with that much AP at rank 5. Feel like having more fun? Lichbane will make your Q hit for about 1200 on a single target, instantly filling your shield up as well.

Fueled by mordekaiser probably being the best farmer in the game. It's just a clusterfuck of overpowered shit..

Mordekaiser is old Garen in the tankydps meta on steroids. His W buff with is basically 5 sunfire capes which you can throw on anyone, which shields and heals yourself for all damage it deals, and increases the target's defense, and unlike Garen you actually have spell penetration so it does proper levels of and isn't easily countered by a single MR cloak.

Look at his W. 0.2 of 400ap is 80. His W gains 80dmg PER SECOND from 400AP. Lets look at Vlad's Q, as that's one of the more extreme examples (it fairs worse for other champions): That's a 0.6 AP ratio on a 3 sec CD, from 400AP it gains an additional 240 damage. Mordekaiser's W gains 240dmg over 3 seconds from that 0.2 AP ratio'd 400AP. Mordekaiser's W benefits just as much as Vlad's Q does from AP. EXCEPT MORDE'S W IS AN AOE, AND IS HITTING MULTIPLE TARGETS. Morde's 0.2 AP ratio on his W is actually BETTER than Vlad's Q 0.6 AP ratio. If you are hitting 5 champions in a teamfight with his W, the 400AP actually contributes an additional 1200DMG EVERY 3 SECONDS.

His Q's AP ratio is only 0.2, but it's also his weakest AP skill. Yeah, on 400AP it only deals an additional 80dmg.. except if it's a single target it deals an additional 75% damage. Meaning that 0.2 AP ratio on a single target it deals +140 damage. That 0.2 AP ratio is actually 0.35.

His E 0.6, but it's also on a short CD and an a wide AOE effect. 400AP adds 240dmg to EACH target it hits, hitting 3 players means that 400AP has caused an additional 720DMG, that's a pretty big fucking deal in a team fight when you're constantly tossing E out as it's up. That, again is a better AP ratio than vlad's E AOE (0.45).

All of these AP ratios are good, besides his Q (which is really an AD ability). If you haven't actually bothered to play morde properly then you don't know.

The actual DPS factor is the same in a team fight. Vlad spamming his Q as it's up, morde in the middle of the fight tanking and AOEing everybody. likewise, morde's W will also contribute more damage from that 400AP than vlad's E.

Morde also gains more benefit from the additional damage it deals. 35% of that W's damage is is converted into shield.

That 400AP, means morde's W is charging his shield an additional 140 per second before mitigation. Over a team fight, that 400AP will have given morde an extra 1000 or more health from his fucking W alone. If you combine the shield generated with all his other abilities, the 400AP gives more even more effective health. You become virtually unkillable with the other mitigation your tank items have given you.

Tank morde is ignorable. Tanky AP morde is not, if you ignore him your team will be AOE'd to death, if you focus morde he becomes even stronger because crowding around him will only make his shield stronger and make you take more damage.
