Multiplayer is so fucked. Poorly balanced, and terribly implemented. Half of the games are lag-fests. And yet I still love it.

If nothing else, Space Marine excels at making you feel like a fucking badass. I don't play it to win, I play it to fuck people up as a walking tank with a jetpack and a chainsaw. It certainly is a niche game, but it does a pretty good job of filling it.

Speaking of multiplayer, I wish the hammer didn't suck ass. Every once in a while I vow to use it, then after half a game I go back to the chain sword or axe. Or just play Tactical.

I think you're confused. There were on 18 (20) Primarchs. They were the ones who's genetic material was used to create the rest of the Legion. They were much more powerful than a regular marine. * Relic is lending a very small hand in the overall development of dmo. Winking, a chinese based developer is also on board. They helped with Spacemarine as well.
* Vigil is doing 90% of the work. Most of the shared work load is art, and animation.
* Spacemarine is built on the same engine as darksiders (and darksiders 2 respectively)
* Dmo is using the same engine, with gameplay (at least combat) akin to Spacemarine.
* Contrary to what I was told, the art style is NOT like Spacemarine, rather the whole game is more like darksiders (1 & 2), very stylized. The videos released at the last E3 are fairly accurate to the current state of the art style. Less realistic.
* Revision to what I was told by the rep, is that Spring 2012 is unlikely… maybe for more announcements on the game’s progress. Though a Darsiders 2 release in spring is likely, Vigil is working on both.

I loved Dawn of War II and Chaos Rising but hated Retribution.

Also, why is it that in every single wh40k game its ultras/black templars vs black/alpha legion/word bearers? Not to disrespect anything, but I would surely love to see a game with some other chapters that aren't necessarily the usual major good vs. evil, and tbh I'm tired of all these khornate worshipers (and one peculiar sorcerer) yelling "KEYS FOR THE KEY GOD" and all that, although eliphas was somewhat a bright spark in Retribution. But either way, lets say something like salamanders/iron hands/white scars (i mean why the hell not, especially the white scars since we scarcely saw any action from them, and by the looks of things I'm sure ppl would love their mongol-like rushing tactics), vs lets say death guard/red corsairs/emperor's children or flawless host, even thousand sons (its not like they would be too popular, but atleast every one of those chapters has something unique to them, from different god worship to tactics & warfare strategy; I would so like to see a slaanesh/tzeentch worshiping chaos chapter for a change).

But anyways here's hoping that we might see at least something of that in the upcoming game/expansions.
