Considering the panel picks it's winners by tossing darts at a board, the award itself has pretty much become a useless adjective, hasn't it?

At this point, I'm pretty sure a rag-tag bunch of renegade animators from Newgrounds could submit a short animated feature and stand just as good a chance at becoming "academy award winning" just as anyone else now.
