In celebration of Men in Black 3 coming out tomorrow, let's have a MiB thread.
I never saw the cartoon, was it any good?

3 will be an average at best movie and will feel strange seeing as it's been a full 10 years since MiB II
but it won't be bad
>>37089967
Yeah, but there is a lot of room for terrible in the space above part 2.
Cartoon fucking rocked from what I recall of it. Saw the first season is on dvd, haven't picked it up though. 2, besides being pretty terrible on it's own, annoyed me by not making a situation that would bring the cartoon into line with movie continuity (due to J flashing thinying L out of story)

It's amazing to think how different the comics are to the film and the cartoon.
And it's funny, since the MiB in this comic act a lot like what the "alleged" MiB act like in reality.
Providing they're real.
Shit, It's the series I'm watching at the moment!
Interesting factoids - Tony Shaloub does the voice of Jeebs, same as the movies, and they get Vincent D'Onofrio back to voice Edgar's vengeance-driven twin brother at one point.

Nah, I don't mean in general with film adaptions, I mean just for MiB in particular.
Like in the comic I think they shoot people if they are aware they've seen an alien to keep them quiet, whilst in the film they had the pen things that wiped your memory.

I didn't think it was that bad.
Just mediocre.
>>37090649
Me too.
Missed chance.

>they don't call 'em RAYBAN for nothing.
*rimshot*

I'm diggin' it.

No problem
I'll pick up the storytime for at least the second issue. As much as I loved the first movie and the cartoon, the comic is a lot more interesting to me, partially because they didn't just deal with aliens.
Anyone else noticed that the plot of the movie is kind similar to one episode of the cartoon?
Basicly J get's his brain fucked up by an alien device, suddently he is the only one who can remember veteran MIB agents. Meanwhile in the present the MIB lose more and more of their high tech stuff and are reduced to a pittyfull small organization. In the end J has to travel back in time and stop a crazy alien believer who's neuralisation didn't worked, removing agents from time.
Not exactly like the movie but the idea of agents dissapearing and no one remembering them and a time travel into the past where J meets a young K is very similar.
Also anyone else pissed they not only wrote out L in the second movie but completely removed her from the MIB, instead of just saying she got transfered?
After the first movie this wouldn't have been such a problem, but after making an entire cartoon with her as one of the three main characters, this was just insulting.

Insult to injury, yeah. It wasn't bad enough they deprived us of a hot, breathy mortician lady?

Fuck you.

Watch the entire thing and you'll understand.
>>37093135
How about, instead of watching the entire thing, fuck you?
Well, that's that. I may do a few more issues later if enough people are interested, but right now I gotta bounce. Hope everyone enjoyed it.
Except that guy who posted the link to TGWTG. Seriously, fuck that guy.

Since Men in Black 3 is coming out tomorrow, I'm going to stream Men in Black tonight in approximately 15 minutes or so.
Stream link:

In the past I've streamed other things, like the entire Spawn Animated Series and several movies and the quality's quite good.
Until it's time for me to start the movie, I'm just going to be playing something on repeat, so if that annoys you either wait until it's time or pause the video.
Why is it SO taboo to rehash ideas from the other formats to movie audiences that haven't seen them yet?
I'd rather see them again than shit piles like Men in Black 2.

Didn't even have to be the Jackie Chan villain he was in the show. They could have just used the basic concept and written him 1 of a multiple number of ways.

You haven't missed much if you still want to jump in.

But MIB the Series is on Netflix. Though I hate that the pitch is high on the opening for it (and a bit high on the rest of the show, frankly). It feels totally weird for someone who used to watch it a fair bit. Contrast:
